Engine 1 Out of Service — Pump Failure
Engine 1 Status Update Engine 1 has been taken out of service as of this morning due to a pump malfunction discovered during routine checks. Details Issue: Pump pressure dropping below acceptable levels during draft test Estimated repair time: 3–5 business days Coverage: Engine 2 will cover Engine 1's first-due area Action Items All shifts: familiarize yourselves with Engine 2's equipment layout Officers: update run cards accordingly Report any additional mechanical concerns to Capt. Rodriguez We'll update once parts arrive from the manufacturer.

Q3 Training Hours Reminder
A friendly reminder that Q3 ends September 30. Please ensure you're on track with your training requirements. Minimum Requirements (Annual) 40 hours total department training 8 hours EMS CE 4 hours driver/operator (if applicable) Q3 Target: 10+ hours Check your training log to see where you stand. The department has updated the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inspection policy effective August 1. Key Changes Monthly self-inspections are now mandatory (previously quarterly) New checklist form available in the Documents section Digital submission required — paper forms will no longer be accepted Defective gear must be reported within 24 hours of discovery Training A refresher session will be held during next week's drill.
